3-Day Chiang Dao Mountain Trek

Trek through scenic landscapes of northern Thailand with an experienced adventure guide. Follow your guide on forest trails leading to various villages and encounter friendly locals.

Doi Chiang Dao mountain range lies to the North of Chiang Mai. The area is home to many ethnic hill-tribe villages, and down to the west of the mountain flows the Mae Tang river through nestled in the scenic valley. This adventurous and strenuous mountain will take participants off the beaten track across the mountain range, down to the Maetang River valley, hiking on trails regularly used by villagers. Trekkers will enjoy scenic views from the mountain as a significant part of the hike is on the mountain ridges. You'll spend two nights in very rustic accomodation in the mountain, and that is part of this amazing experience.

Please note

Recommended for participants reasonably fits and in good physical condition
Trek not suitable for children under 10 years old, unless they are used to multiple hours of hiking
Vegetarian and other dietary needs can be organized, please advise us at time of booking if required
Wear suitable outdoor clothing; hiking shoes or trainers; bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and mosquito reppelent
Limit your personal effects to fit in a 45L to 50L backpack, which you will need to carry. Please travel light!
We provide a suggested packing list, according to the season (send after trip registration)
Participants should be able to hike 5 to 6 hours on undulating landscape

The duration of transfers are approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions. Times are subject to change due to local traffic conditions.
Hotels and guest-houses in Chiang Mai city. Pick-ups are limited to Chiang Mai inner second ring road. A pick-up at location located outside the perimeter will be subject to additional transfer charges.
